UK Skilled Workers Visa
This visa has replaced the Tier 2 (General) work visa.
A Skilled Worker visa allows you to come to or stay in the UK to do an eligible job with an approved employer.
The shortage Occupation list, which is recommended by the independent Migration Advisory Committee (MAC), is comprised of skilled jobs where there is an identified national shortage.
Visa program permit you to apply for Citizenship after holding permanent residence for at least 1 year and living in the UK for at least 5 years.
You can apply for a Skilled Worker visa if:
You have been offered a skilled job in the UK
You'll be working for an approved UK employer
Your job meets the minimum salary requirements
You can speak, read, write and understand English
One of the advantages of the Skilled Workers Visa and the Health & Care Worker Visa category is that it allows family members to join the main visa holder in the UK with a Tier 2 Dependent visa. Eligibility for a dependent visa is limited to immediate family members of individuals who have, or are applying for, leave to remain in the UK.
